This class weaves together Restorative Yoga with principles of developmental movement and the Bartenieff Fundamentals to take you on a tour of your own body and breath. We begin focusing deeply on connectivity within the body and your relationship with gravity and space.We then move through a sequence of about 4 or 5 restorative postures, each held for 5 or more minutes, and are supported by props, which set conditions for us to find complete relaxation and wholeness. Guided through layers of tension and energetic fields of awareness, this practice stills the mind, balances the nervous system, and improves our overall capacity for healing and ease of movement. You will leave feeling refreshed, calm, and ready to take on the elements of life in this city. No prior experience is necessary.
